Recently, a lot of you lovely ladies have been messaging me to ask about what I use as my every day make up products. I do have a Youtube video with my everyday make up routine, but I thought it would be nice to share a little blog post dedicated to my core makeup products.
These are the bits I use each and every single day without fail and trust me, without these you’d easily mistake me for Quasimodo. If someone asked me that boring question ‘What three things would you take to a desert island?’ I’d say I’m not going unless you let me take four things, and these would be the four things.
The fantastic four consist of… Nars Copacabana Illuminator, Mac Lipstick in the shade ‘Pure Zen’, YSL Touche Eclat, and Nars bronzer in ‘Laguna’.
Let’s start with the cult favourites shall we?
YSL Touche Eclat, or as I like to call it, ‘my magic pen’. I would say this is a must-have for any new mummy out there. If you saw my last video you would have watched me plaster this stuff under my eyes, it could make a zombie look like a fresh faced, well slept member of One Direction.
Nars Laguna, I think every beauty blogger under the sun has raved about this at some point. It’s your ticket to the perfect natural bronzed glow. As a make up artist, I can confirm it suits almost all skin tones I’ve come across, and does well to avoid that dirty orange look. This stuff lasts forever too, so although it’s a little on the pricey side for bronzer, it’s definitely a solid investment in my eyes and much more exciting than stocks and shares.
Now, for my personal favourites…
Pure Zen. I wear this is basically ALL of my videos. I am a sucker for a nude if you hadn’t already noticed… it’s the only lipstick from MAC that doesn’t dry my lips out too.
Nars Copacabana. This is probably the product that most people tend to ask me about. It’s my little glowy secret. I mix a blob of this into my foundation and it helps create that fresh faced dewy look.
So, there you have it, my ‘secret weapon’ products!
